Adopting a Furry Friend from RSPCA Manchester & Salford Branch
Here’s how it works
Get Acquainted: Meeting our amazing animals happens by appointment only. To get started, please complete an application form. Our furry friends are either at our centre in Weaste, Salford, or in the comfort of a foster home.
Chat with Us: Once we receive your application, we will arrange a telephone conversation to get to know you better and discuss your preferences. We will then schedule an appointment if the animal is the right fit. For those living outside our area, we can usually offer a virtual viewing.
Reserve Your Match: When you’ve found that special animal you would like to welcome into your life, we will guide you through the process. This includes viewing pictures or videos of your home, providing proof of ID, and ensuring you have the essentials ready for their arrival.
Ready to Bring Them Home: As soon as you’re all set, we will make the necessary arrangements for you to collect your new family member. The entire process typically takes no more than 7 days, but we can move faster if both you and the animal are ready.
Standard adoption fees apply to cats/kittens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. For our small furries, we appreciate any donation towards our vital work.
